Stephen Nyathi

Project Coordinator

Stephen Nyathi describes himself as a motivated, goal-oriented person who can adapt to new challenges.

In 2012 he obtained his diploma in hospitality management at Tshwane North College. He has extensive experience in the culinary industry. He worked as Head Chef at Eiland Spar as well as sous-chef de cuisine at Mondior Hotel, Emperors Palace, Southern Sun, Pretoria and as far as the Butcha Jumeriah Restaurant Group in Dubai.

In 2017 he joined Nova Institute as a junior Project Co-ordinator. He is currently the Project Coordinator for projects in Tzaneen (Limpopo) where he is responsible for the interaction with local communities and other stakeholders, recruitment, training and control over field staff as well as for managing all field work to the required Nova methodology standards. In 2022 Stephen Nyathi was tasked to co-ordinate the Anglo project at Sefikile and Mantserre. He found it to be a great experience. His ability to perform, even under pressure, currently helps to improve the quality of life of households in Limpopo where Nova has stove projects and fruit tree planting campaigns.
