Nora received her National Diploma in Agricultural Research (Botany and Agronomy) at the Technicon of Pretoria in 1993. She worked as an Agricultural Research Technician at the Agricultural Research Council (ARC) in Pretoria from 1993 to 1996, researching various crops, working on establishing “Peace Gardens” in the rural areas and working on the design and implementation of sample plots, drip irrigation system and collection of experimental data.

From 1996 to 1997 she worked in internal sales and services for Degussa South Africa (Pty) Ltd in Midrand, managing stock, order and invoices for laboratory dental equipment and managing workshop operations. From 1998 to 2002 Ishe worked at KaVo Dental GmbH & Co.KG in Randburg as debtor and banking clerk, credit controller and laboratory equipment specialist, ordering and sales of international stock, managing workshop, liaising with clients and sales representatives. Since June 2011, when she joined Nova she has been working as a full-time Research Assistant and Office Administrator and also assists the research field staff and data office. Previous assignments include extensive work on Nova’s Gold Standard projects.
