Marais Jansen
I was born in Pretoria on March 6, 1957, Matriculated in 1974 and studied at the University of Pretoria and UNISA.
During my career as a Development Finance Risk Analyst, I was privileged to gain extensive experience and expertise, at national and international level, of the financing and evaluation of infrastructure programs & projects.
It included the assessment and integration of issues related to the institutional-, social-, environmental- , economic- and technical risks and viability of development programs and projects.
My passion is development and to reach out to improve the living conditions of indigent households, restoring their dignity and quality of life. The most vulnerable people that suffer under poverty, especially the elderly and children is my biggest motivation to my dedication to make a difference. I worked for 32 years at a South African Development Institution where I had my first interaction with NOVA in 2008, when our organisation assisted with the financing of NOVA’s head office in the Wilgers.
To spread the Bible, the Message of Salvation, to all people is the most important mission in my life. I am a member of the Gideons International in South Africa whose sole objective it is to help people find salvation in Christ by placing a Bible or New Testament in their hands.
My wife Ilze and our children are indispensable in their love and support to me.
NOVA is close to my heart as it is an example of how to live a life as a practical Christian, making a difference in the suffering of this world.
