Hendrik obtained a Bcom degree (cum laude 1996) and Honours degree in financial accounting (best student 1997) from the University of Pretoria. He completed the academic requirements of the UK-based Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 2000 and was awarded membership in 2004.

Serving in diverse capacities, Hendrik has more than 20 years of experience in roles such as Chief Executive Officer of Transwerk Foundries, Group Management Accountant of Scaw Metals, Financial Manager at Dimension Data and Lecturer at the University of Pretoria. Currently, he practices his passion for decision-relevant information in the context of improving quality of life in low-income households with Nova.
